Gary Read, President and CEO of Nimsoft, Appointed to Board of Directors of Scalable Software

Redwood City, Calif. – August 28, 2008 – Nimsoft Inc., the “Big 4” alternative for IT performance and availability monitoring solutions, today announced that president and CEO, Gary Read has been named to the Board of Directors of Scalable Software, Ltd., a leader in IT asset lifecycle management solutions. Read’s appointment is an addition to the board and increases the number of members to five.

Read founded Converse Software in 2002 and quickly built the company into a successful reseller organization delivering cost-effective service-level management solutions to customers around the globe. In 2004, Read merged Converse with Norway-based Nimbus Software establishing Nimsoft. 

Over the last four years, Nimsoft has expanded its client base to more than 680 enterprise and managed service provider customers by delivering customized performance and availability solutions that drive top-line business results.  Previously, Read served as VP Marketing at BMC Software and VP Sales & Marketing at RiverSoft, where he was instrumental in the successful IPO of RiverSoft and their eventual acquisition by Micromuse.
