Nimsoft Press ReleaseNimsoft Ranks As The Fastest Growing Systems Management Software CompanyInc. Magazine Recognizes Nimsoft as the 36th Fastest Growing Software company Redwood City, Calif. – Aug. 21, 2008 – Inc. magazine ranked Nimsoft, Inc., as the 36th Fastest Growing Software Company with a 534-percent revenue growth over a three-year period. The company’s growth demonstrates the worldwide market demand for a leading, next generation performance and availability monitoring solution that protects business services from downtime. Last year, Nimsoft was ranked as the 49th Fastest Growing Software Company. This list is part of the Inc. 5000, the magazine’s annual list of the fastest growing, privately held businesses. “Our ranking recognizes our high customer adoption and satisfaction,” said Gary Read, president and CEO of Nimsoft. “I see none of our competitors growing their customer base as rapidly or replacing as many Big 4 solutions as Nimsoft. The company’s momentum can only be attributed to our dedication to our customers’ needs as well as delivering a highly effective solution that drastically reduces costs and increases efficiencies.” Nimsoft provides enterprise-class software that proactively monitors and analyzes the performance of the IT infrastructure and business applications businesses. Nimsoft reduces the cost of monitoring while improving visibility into IT performance and highlighting its contribution to the business. The company’s rapid growth is not surprising given its support for both physical and virtual environments and the market’s dissatisfaction with systems management offerings from the four, longstanding market leaders. Since its founding in 1998, Nimsoft was profitable and grew organically, independent of external capital funding, until Q1 2007, when the company obtained its first round of $10.3 million venture capital funding. By the end of 2007, the company had a stunning performance with 140 new customers, a 77 percent increase in GAAP revenues and a 131 percent growth in subscription revenue. In early 2008, Nimsoft acquired Indicative Software for its business service management technologies. Today, Nimsoft customers number more than 680 in 30 countries and include some of the leading brand name companies in the world, managed service providers and a large number of medium enterprise organizations. Methodology and StatisticsThe 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007. The 5,000 companies that made the list reported aggregate revenue of $185 billion and median three-year growth of 147 percent. Complete results of the Inc. 5000 can be found at www.inc5000.com.
