Best of the Best - Nimsoft Gets Top Honors from Leading Publication

Redwood City, California - February 20, 2008 – Nimsoft, Inc., the “Big 4” alternative for IT performance and availability monitoring solutions, today announced that Network Computing, a CMP Media publication, has declared Nimsoft the “Best of the Best” among nine application performance management (APM) solutions. They noted NimBUS was “a real leader” in service level management for its “flexible and robust SLA reporting engine” and ability to “report SLA performance granularly … which many APM tools are unable to do.”

Overall, Network Computing gave NimBUS an excellent rating for “performance, scalability, and stellar affordability” as an application performance management solution.

Well known in the industry for their technical expertise in laboratory settings, CMP Media sought a group of products that located and predicted performance problems across all application components and support all facets of the application infrastructure, including system and network performance. Service modeling was another key area. They wanted to model critical application services and report on SLA compliance. They advised that solutions with agents provide the best visibility into issues at the application level.

Other products reviewed were: BMC Software, Compuware, Indicative, NetIQ, NetQoS, Network General, Quest Software and Symantec. CA, IBM and HP declined to participate or could not get their software in place to meet the publication’s schedule.
