Corporate Governance - Board of DirectorsGary Read A 20-year high-tech industry veteran, Gary Read founded Converse Software in 2002 and rapidly built a global reseller organization successfully delivering cost-effective service-level management solutions. In 2004, Converse Software merged with Norway-based Nimbus Software and created Nimsoft, where Gary now spearheads the world-wide operation from its base in Silicon Valley, CA. Mr. Read served previously as VP Marketing at BMC Software and VP Sales & Marketing at RiverSoft, being instrumental in the successful IPO of RiverSoft and the eventual acquisition by Micromuse. Dag Lund A co-founder of Nimsoft, Dag Lund brings more than 20 years experience in the computer industry, spanning from hardware and software development, to marketing and business development assignments in companies such as The Royal Norwegian Airforce, Norsk Data, Dolphin Server Technology, Sysnet and Boole & Babbage. Mr. Lund has a broad international background, working at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in San Francisco, California, with research and technology transfers between the US and Norway. Mr. Lund holds several engineering and marketing degrees from the University of Oslo, Norwegian School of Marketing, as well as Executive Management Programs at Stanford University, BI School of Management, and the University of California at Berkeley. Anders Grindland Anders Grindland is an established entrepreneur in the software industry in Norway. He started his career at Norsk Data as a developer and development manager, and subsequently served as a systems management product architect at Dolphin Server Technology. Mr. Grindland was founder, Chairman and Vice President of R&D at Sysnet, one of the early leaders of management software for client server systems. Later in 1994, Mr. Grindland sold Sysnet to Boole & Babbage and founded Nimbus Software in 1998. Saverio Merlo Saverio Merlo has garnered more than 25 years of experience in the systems management industry as a Board Member, CEO and Marketing Executive. Mr. Merlo is currently involved as a board member and an investor with several software companies. Prior to that, he served as CEO of SoftPlumbers where he led the development and delivery of a management suite for Windows-based distributed infrastructures. Before that assignment, Mr. Merlo was a general manager of the PATROL Division for BMC Software where he spearheaded the integration efforts of two acquired companies. Prior to that, Mr. Merlo served as the senior vice president of marketing for Boole & Babbage, Inc. where he was part of the management team that turned around the software vendor, which eventually was sold to BMC Software. Peter Arrowsmith Peter Arrowsmith is a general partner of JMI Equity. Since 1996, he has managed investments at JMI Equity, serving as a board member for several, growth stage software companies. Before JMI Equity, Mr. Arrowsmith was an Associate at AEA Investors, an investment firm that specializes in management buyouts. Mr. Arrowsmith began his business career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey and Company, a management consulting firm. Mr. Arrowsmith received his Bachelors of Arts from Harvard University. Torleif Ahlsand Torleif Ahlsand is a general partner of Northzone Ventures. Mr. Ahlsand serves as chairman of the board and as director for several Nordic high- growth technology companies. Prior to Northzone, Mr. Ahlsand was Vice President of Corporate Finance for Handelsbanken Capital Markets and a corporate development executive for Orkla ASA. Mr. Ahlsand also has a professional technical background as a research scientist for CERN near Geneva and as a telecommunications engineer for Nera ASA. Mr. Ahlsand holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from NTNU and a Masters of Business Administration with Honors from IMD in Switzerland. David Campbell David Campbell is a Vice President of the Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area, investing in enterprise technology since 2004. He serves on a number of technology company boards. Previously, Mr. Campbell held senior roles within the Goldman Sachs Technology Group, including global infrastructure architecture, and global enterprise storage. He was elected Technology Fellow in 2002 for his role in developing the firm's technology. He started his career developing industry and military systems. In 1990, he moved to Japan to work in the Fujitsu super computer R&D labs. In 1994, he joined Goldman Sachs in Japan; relocating to New York in 1998. Mr. Campbell received a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering and Bachelors of Arts from Queensland University, Australia.
